GetPreferredSize(container, proposedSize)

Retrieves the size of a rectangular area into which a control can be fitted.

Parameter	Type	Description
container	IComponent	The container on which the layout engine will operate.
proposedSize	Size	Proposed size of the container. Can be 0,0.

Returns: Size. The preferred Size.

InitLayout(child, specified)

Initializes the layout engine.

Parameter	Type	Description
child	Object	The child control on which the layout engine will operate.
specified	BoundsSpecified	The bounds defining the container's size and position.

Throws:

• NotSupportedException child is not a type on which LayoutEngine can perform layout.

Layout(container, layoutEventArgs)

Requests that the layout engine perform a layout operation.

Parameter	Type	Description
container	Object	The container on which the layout engine will operate.
layoutEventArgs	LayoutEventArgs	An event argument from a Layout event.

Returns: Boolean. true if layout should be performed again by the parent of container ; otherwise, false.
