Virtual Scrolling
Virtual scrolling lets controls render the visible portion of a large list and request more items as the user scrolls. This reduces the amount of content held and rendered in the browser. Server-side data storage depends on the control and its configuration; virtual scrolling alone does not mean that records are loaded on demand from a database. See DataGridView for virtual mode and client-side caching, and the individual list-control pages for their scrolling options.
