Represents the set of speech properties added to the extended controls.

Instance member SpeakMode​

SpeakMode: Returns or sets how the SpeechSynthesis extender applies to the extended control. (Default: Never)

The Text modes speak TextToSpeak, the Value modes speak the current value of the control on the client (i.e. the text of a text box). Enter and Leave refer to the control being activated (focused) and deactivated. Nothing is spoken when the text is empty.

The Once modes speak only the first time; the default is Never.

Example:

Giving an audible hint the first time a field is focused:

var props = this.speechSynthesis1.GetSpeechSynthesis(this.textBoxEmail);
props.TextToSpeak = "Enter the email address used to register.";
props.SpeakMode = SpeechSynthesis.SpeakMode.TextOnEnterOnce;

Instance member TextToSpeak​

String: Returns or sets the text to speak. (Default: null)

Used by the Text modes of SpeakMode. An empty string is converted to null.
