ChatWidgetEventArgs(name, data)

Initializes a new instance of the ChatWidgetEventArgs class.

Name	Type	Description
name	String	The name of the client event. A null value is stored as an empty string.
data	Object	The raw event data received from the browser, or null.

Example:

The following example creates the event data for a client event named created that carries no payload.

var args = new Chat.ChatWidgetEventArgs("created", null);
string name = args.Name; // "created"

Properties

Data

Object: Gets the raw event data received from the browser.

When the event is raised by the Chat control, the value is the dynamic object sent by the client wrapper, with the field names used by the Syncfusion event (camel case). The typed properties of the event classes expose the same data.

Example:

The following example reads a field of the raw event data.

Name

String: Gets the name of the client event, for example messageSend.

The value is the name reported by the browser and it is an empty string when the client event does not carry a name.
