Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Ice Tea Group LLC ("Ice Tea Group," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with this documentation site (docs.wisej.com, the "Site"). It does not cover other Ice Tea Group properties, such as wisej.com, which have their own privacy policies.
Summary
- We do not use cookies on this Site.
- We do not collect or store any personal data that identifies you.
- We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand aggregate traffic to the Site — anonymously and without tracking individuals.
- Because we do not process personal data or set non-essential cookies, no cookie consent banner is required or shown under the EU ePrivacy Directive or the GDPR.
Data Controller
The data controller for this Site is:
Ice Tea Group LLC support@iceteagroup.com
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics to measure how the Site is used (for example, which pages are popular and where visitors come from), so we can improve the documentation. Plausible was chosen specifically because it is built to operate without collecting personal data:
- No cookies. Plausible does not use cookies or any other persistent client-side storage, so no consent is required to use it under the GDPR or the ePrivacy Directive ("cookie law").
- No personal data or persistent identifiers. Plausible does not use device fingerprinting and does not generate a persistent identifier for you. Nothing about your visit is linkable to you as an individual, on this Site or across other websites.
- IP addresses are not stored. Incoming requests are counted using a number derived from the visitor's IP address, user agent, and domain, combined with a daily-rotating salt (a value that changes every 24 hours and is then permanently discarded). This lets Plausible produce an accurate unique visitor count for the day without storing the IP address itself or being able to re-identify or track a visitor from one day to the next.
- Aggregate metrics only. The data Plausible reports to us is limited to aggregate statistics: page URL, referrer, approximate country/region, device type, browser, and operating system. There is no per-visitor profile, session recording, or cross-site tracking.
- EU-hosted. Plausible is operated by Plausible Insights OÜ, based in Estonia, and visitor data is processed and stored on servers within the European Union.
- Data retention. Aggregated analytics data is retained only as long as needed to provide historical reporting to us and is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any purpose other than measuring Site traffic.
You can read more about how Plausible works in its own data policy.
Because this processing does not involve personal data, it relies on our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in understanding and improving the Site — not consent — and, since no cookies or similar tracking technologies are stored on your device, the consent requirement under the ePrivacy Directive does not apply either.
Hosting
This Site is hosted on Netlify. Like virtually all web infrastructure, Netlify's servers may process standard technical connection data (such as IP address, request timestamp, and user agent) in server logs for the sole purpose of delivering content and maintaining the security and reliability of the Site. This processing is strictly necessary to operate the Site and is handled by Netlify as our processor. See Netlify's Privacy Policy for details.
What We Don't Collect
This Site is a static documentation site. It has no user accounts, no comment sections, no newsletter sign-up, and no contact or lead-generation forms. Site search is performed entirely in your browser (against a static search index) and is never sent to a server. As a result, we do not knowingly collect names, email addresses, or any other personal data through your use of this Site.
If you follow a link from this Site to another Ice Tea Group property (such as wisej.com or its support portal) or to a third party (such as GitHub), that destination's own privacy policy applies to your activity there.
Children's Privacy
This Site is technical documentation intended for software developers and IT professionals, and it is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
International Visitors
Because the Site does not collect personal data, and the aggregate analytics data described above stays within the European Union, no international transfer of personal data occurs as a result of using this Site.
Your Rights
Since we do not collect or store personal data that identifies you, there is generally no personal data about you for us to access, correct, or delete. If you believe we hold personal data about you, or have questions about this policy, you can contact us at support@iceteagroup.com. If you are in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we adopt a new tool that changes how the Site handles data. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
